Recycle old jeans

I had my old jeans waiting to be turned into these cute baby girl slippers...This is really easy and good use of your old jeans . I made these with light weight jeans as its easy to handle. Made the white flower with plain cotton cloth and accessorized with a white button. Your little girl will love these cute pair.

Yet another use of your old jeans , A Market tote(Grocery Bag). I just finish making these. Its very easy to make just take of the machine needle as the jeans material is quite heavy. I used the back pocket to accessorize it. And it can be used to hold your money purse. Good idea ,I guess...Soon coming up with new items with old jeans ,till then take care and don't throw those old pairs.

Half Pants

I made this for my son. Used some old pj of his daddy. N stitched 'S' intial with black plain cloth.
I dont have any picture of my son wearing this but it does look good whenever he wears it.

Here is the pic.:

Tshirt and PJ for my son

I just finished sewing a T-shirt for my son. Used fresh fabric for this one. Did some applique work on it. And turned into a cute piece.Though he was not in a mood to be clicked, still took his pictures.

Car play mat

I made this for my son specially, as he is crazy about cars these days. I took some old quilt and cut it into a Car shape. It didnt use any template just cutted free hand. Then did binding on edges and appliqued the tyres with black cloth. I used blanket stitch for applique.
Here what it looks like:

Tote bag

So here is my basic tote bag, again made with leftovers. I used this brown fabric print for the main pattern, and contrasting cream fabric for pocket in front.Made two small pleats on pocket. And made a cute flower with brown print. I didn't use any interfacing , just plain fabric lining inside. It can be used for carrying small things like mobile, money pocket, etc. Its my first tote bag, so I am very happy with it.

Table runner

I made this table runner with leftover fabric scrap. And binding I did with white ,again its a leftover scrap.
I made it both ways , so it can be used either.

Sewing at home

After a gap of 2years I am again into sewing. Now when my son sleeps I get a chance to stitch or craft. I searched a lot of craft sites on net, so thought to design my own blog. I am new to all this , so don't no much about it. Will learn slowly with practice I guess. I love to stitch, so I made these cute Cushion covers.
I used my husbands old kurtas and some old fabric scrap. They come out so well. Used Yo-Yo's and a cute white button as the flower in orange. They look so cute...

I will be adding a tutorial if someone asks for...because I am here to share what I know. And I am always happy to help.
